At Harding & Co Legal Services Ltd, families are at the heart of what we do : specifically, helping families to ensure that their assets are protected and their children are cared for in the event of their parents' death. From new beginnings, where we help expectant parents put wills in place to protect their growing family, to end of life, where we guide bereaved family members through the probate process, and everything in between.
The company is owned by directors, Rachel & Martin Harding, a husband and wife team who have a combined experience of over 45 years in the legal and finance industries. They work with a team of consultants and skilled practitioners within the estate planning field and use their combined expertise to offer a wide range of services to private clients. They, and the exceptional team they work with, work hard to ensure as many people as possible have carefully drawn up wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney in place. They also help many IFAs and other finance professionals ensure that their own clients’ estate planning needs are met.
Rachel is a Chartered Legal Executive, a full member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers and an affiliate member of STEP. She oversees all of the firm's legal work and carries out all of the drafting.
Rachel has spent nearly 25 years working in the legal field and for the last 6 years has worked solely in the area of estate planning. Rachel has written over 2000 wills and has prepared and registered hundreds of successful Lasting Power of Attorney applications with the Office of the Public Guardian. Rachel also shares responsibility for training and supporting the firm's growing team of estate planning consultants and franchisees.
Martin has a solid 20+ year background in financial services and he joined Rachel in the firm on a part-time basis in 2020 to support the growth of the business. Martin is responsible for accounting and business development and shares responsibility for recruiting and training new members of the team.
All of our Estate Planning Consultants are trained to the highest standards, in-house and through the Institute of Professional Will Writers and do not begin taking instructions from clients until they have attained Associate Membership of the IPW.
Continuing Professional Development is vitally important to the Directors and they relish any opportunity to widen and expand on their knowledge in the estate planning field.
